Pineapple Party

From the I Dream in Color collection by Dallas abstract artist Chrissy Collins

I Dream in Color started with summer. Beach balls, pool floats, a board game spread across the table, and my three boys on vacation with nowhere to be. I wanted these paintings to feel the way those days feel: carefree, a little messy, and happy.

So I let go of perfect. The strokes are loose and playful, and the white space is left open on purpose. It's part of the painting, giving all that color room to breathe.

A long, skinny little party of a painting. It fits the spots big art can't, like above a bar cart, over a console or down a hallway.
