Chrissy Collins is a Dallas-based abstract artist whose large-scale paintings are instantly recognizable for their joyful palettes, layered textures, and unexpected color combinations. Her work has been called both whimsical and refined, pieces that spark curiosity while feeling right at home in thoughtfully designed interiors.
A graduate of SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts and a former graphic designer, Chrissy first turned to painting as a creative outlet while pregnant with her youngest son. What began as a personal experiment quickly grew into a passion and then a full-time practice. More than a decade later, her studio is alive with canvases in progress, each one infused with her signature vibrancy and light.
Her inspiration is fueled by the freedom to travel and explore. The colors of sherbet skies, glowing sunsets, and ever-changing landscapes rejuvenate her creativity and spark new ideas. She treats painting as both an exploration and a conversation. Every commission is collaborative, shaped by her clients’ spaces and personalities but brought to life through her intuitive sense of color and playful layering.
For Chrissy, art is about joy. Her goal with every piece is simple: to create something that makes people stop, smile, and feel at home.
