Featured in BoldJourney: Meet Chrissy Collins

BoldJourney featured me in a profile called "Meet Chrissy Collins," where I talked about staying creative over the long run, my path into painting, and where my business is headed next.

A big theme of the conversation was learning when to step away — I talked about how travel, changing my surroundings, and taking real breaks from the studio actually feed my creativity rather than interrupt it.

"Creativity doesn't disappear when you rest — it waits for you, and often comes back stronger."

We also talked about my background studying advertising and photography at SMU, the nine years I spent building and running a stationery line before painting became my full-time focus, and how that entrepreneurial experience shaped the way I run my art business today — from pricing and production to building my own website and doing everything myself, including the small lucite pieces I release around holidays. Looking ahead to 2026, I shared my plans to explore collaborations with interior designers and galleries, and to bring prints into the mix as well.
